The Nigerian Army has issued a notification to the residents of Abuja, indicating that a battle simulation exercise is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, on October 25 and 26, 2023. This exercise will transpire at the 7 Guards Battalion Obstacle Course located in Lungi Barracks, Maitama, and will encompass real-time battlefield simulations and activities.

Njideka Agwu, the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, conveyed this information in a statement on Monday, highlighting that the exercise is an integral part of the activities designated for the Inter Formation Combat Platoon Obstacle Crossing Competition 2023.

In her statement, Agwu reassured the public, saying, “Hence, there would be large battle sounds that would be heard during the exercise, which are in line with the training exercise.”

While underscoring the nature of the exercise, Agwu also urged residents of the Maitama, Asokoro, AYA, and nearby areas not to be alarmed but to continue with their daily routines and activities.
