Unknown Gunmen Abduct PDP Chief in Niger

Garba Hassan, a prominent member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and a former Chairman of the Ngeski Local Government Area in Kebbi State, has been forcefully taken by unknown gunmen in Niger State.

 

The abduction occurred on the Tegina-Kontagora Road in Niger State while Garba Hassan was traveling with a group of twelve others in a commercial vehicle.

 

The victims, en route from Abuja to Kebbi State, were intercepted by the gunmen who had reportedly been lurking in the bushes along the route. The assailants seized the travelers, but at this point, their exact whereabouts remain undisclosed.

 

As of the time of compiling this report, the State Police Command has not issued an official statement concerning the distressing incident.

 

Efforts are expected to be made to ascertain the well-being and secure the release of Garba Hassan and the others who were abducted.
