A fugitive, Nnanyereugo Best, who had been declared a wanted person by the police for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Augusta Osedion, a student of Lead City University, has been successfully arrested in Sierra Leone on a fateful Friday.
Best, it is reported, had changed his identity to Kanu Princeton Samuel and employed $25,000 to procure a Sierra Leonean passport in an effort to conceal his true identity.
His photograph had been widely circulated on social media as authorities intensified their search.
The arrest took place at a nightclub in FreeTown during an evening gathering, where Best was accompanied by a group of women.
This apprehension marks a significant development in the case, and it is expected to lead to further investigations into the circumstances surrounding Augusta Osedion’s tragic death.
