President Tinubu Appoints New CEOs for Key Agencies

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new Chief Executive Officers for several agencies and parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment in a strategic move to solidify Nigeria’s economic revival based on trade expansion, including support for small, medium, and large-scale industries.

 

This announcement was contained in a statement signed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity).

 

Ajuri stated that the appointments reflect the President’s unwavering commitment to rejuvenate Nigeria’s economy by fostering trade and industrial development in the country.

 

The newly appointed CEOs and their respective agencies are as follows:

 

Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) — Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN

Industrial Training Fund (ITF) — Afiz Ogun Oluwatoyin

National Sugar Development Council (NSDC) — Kamar Bakrin

Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA) — Olufemi Ogunyemi

Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC) — Nonye Ayeni

Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) — Aisha Rimi

Oil & Gas Free Zone Authority (OGFZA) — Bamanga Usman Jada

Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) — Charles Odii

Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) — Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke

Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) — Rabiu Olowo

Nigeria Commodities Exchange (NCE) — Anthony Atuche, CFA

Lagos International Trade Fair Complex (LITFCMB) — Veronica Safiya Ndanusa

Tafawa Balewa Square Management Board (TBSMB) — Lucia Shittu

National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) — Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin

These appointees are expected to work towards the attainment of the Renewed Hope Agenda set by the administration of President Bola Tinubu. This entails promoting economic growth and development through trade and industrial facilitation across Nigeria.

 

Furthermore, all new CEOs are charged with meeting specific key performance indicators established by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment to optimize their contributions to the nation’s economic development.

 

These appointments are effective immediately, and President Tinubu looks forward to their dedicated service in steering these critical agencies towards achieving their set objectives.
