The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has issued a cautionary statement directed at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Nyesome Wike, regarding his plans to partner with Israeli security experts to enhance security measures in Abuja.

In a statement released on Thursday, Professor Ishaq Akintola, the Executive Director of MURIC, expressed his apprehensions concerning Wike’s intentions. Akintola argued that entrusting Nigeria’s security to Israel is a matter of concern, as Israel itself has been viewed as a security threat by numerous countries across the globe.

He further pointed out that Israel has a history of human rights violations and a lack of respect for individuals of different faiths. Akintola emphasized that the state of Israel’s actions often defy international norms and standards.

MURIC’s Executive Director went on to warn that any collaboration with Israel could potentially worsen Nigeria’s security challenges, elevating them from a local crisis to an international conflict. He specifically raised concerns about the involvement of MOSSAD, Israel’s secretive intelligence agency, and the potential for Nigeria to become a focal point for global espionage rivalry involving organizations such as the American CIA and the Russian SVR and FSB.

Additionally, Professor Akintola recalled Wike’s past actions as the governor of Rivers State, where he displayed strong Christian affiliations and declared Rivers a Christian state.
