Mr. Eseme Eyiboh, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Senate President, has categorically refuted reports suggesting the establishment of an office for Mrs. Unoma Akpabio, the wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, within the National Assembly.

In a statement released on Monday in Abuja, Eyiboh asserted that these reports were crafted with the intent of tarnishing the reputation of Senate President Godswill Akpabio. He emphasized that the story in question, spanning 20 paragraphs, allocated a mere three paragraphs to the unfounded claim, while the remaining 17 paragraphs contained unrelated content and innuendo.

“To set the record straight for those susceptible to misleading news, there is no office designated for Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio within the National Assembly, nor are there any plans to create one. Her only association with the National Assembly is her role as the wife of the Senate President, a position held by the spouses of previous Senate Presidents, making her the president of the Senators’ Wives Association of Nigeria,” Eyiboh clarified.
