FG Appoints Former CR-SACA DG Ansa As National Programme Manager for Out Of School Programme

Dr. Etcheri Ansa, the former Director General of the Cross River State Agency for Aids Control (CR-SACA), has been selected as the National Programme Manager for the Renewed Hope IDP Refugees Out Of School Programme, also known as the National Alternate School Programme. Dr. Betta Edu, the Honorable Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, announced this appointment.

The decision to entrust Dr. Ansa with this critical job follows her excellent efforts and impressive achievements as Director General of CR-SACA. Her tireless efforts were instrumental in attaining a significant reduction in the prevalence rate of HIV/AIDS in Cross River State, among other achievements.

Dr. Ansa expressed her gratitude for the position and thanked Dr. Betta Edu, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, for her faith and confidence. She spoke of their long-standing friendship, which dates back to their medical school days.

“Dr. Betta Edu is more than a sister to me, and we’ve consistently collaborated, even during our time in medical school,” Dr. Ansa remarked. “Indeed, to whom much is given, much is expected. Therefore, I pledge to work diligently and transparently to ensure the Ministry’s success and the achievement of all set goals and targets. The Minister’s vision primarily aims to uplift Nigerians out of poverty and provide humanitarian services to all.”

Dr. Ansa emphasized that under the leadership and supervision of Dr. Betta Edu, the purpose is not business as usual. The overarching goal is to provide essential humanitarian services to the people of Nigeria. She underscored the Minister’s long-standing commitment to this cause, assuring Nigerians that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope mandate is being diligently pursued by the Ministry and its dedicated team.

Dr. Etcheri Ansa’s appointment as the National Programme Manager marks a significant development in Nigeria’s efforts to provide education and support to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and out-of-school children. Her track record of accomplishment and commitment to humanitarian causes positions her well to contribute meaningfully to the Renewed Hope initiative.
