The case involving the untimely death of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, has attracted the attention of famous lawyer and human rights activist Femi Falana (SAN). Falana’s involvement in this high-profile case adds a new dimension to the battle for transparency and accountability.

The untimely death of the young and promising artist has elicited strong emotions as well as countless questions. Mohbad died on a Tuesday and was buried the next day at Ikorodu, his hometown. This sudden turn of events, along with persisting ambiguities, has alarmed his admirers, fellow artists, and the general public.

Falana expressed his commitment to unearthing the truth and ensuring that justice is delivered in the incident in a letter from his Chambers to the Chief Coroner at the Lagos State High Court dated 18 September.

While the Lagos State Police Command has already launched an investigation, Femi Falana’s involvement adds weight to the call for a thorough and impartial investigation.

This move has garnered support from various quarters, including fellow lawyers, activists, and the entertainment industry, all of whom seek clarity regarding the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
