President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria with a renewed sense of purpose after successful diplomatic visits to India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday.
On the special invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the President departed Abuja on Monday 5 September for the G-20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi, India.
Also on Sunday, September 10, the Presidency stated that Tinubu will have a “technical stopover” in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
While in India, Tinubu obtained investment commitments for Nigeria totaling close to $14 billion in the agribusiness, petrochemicals, electricity, and pharmaceutical industries.
The United Arab Emirates dropped its months-long visa restriction on Nigerians on Monday, largely due to Tinubu’s efforts.
