Ambassador Molly Phee, the United States Envoy and Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, conveyed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that he is the only African leader invited for a meeting by U.S. President Joe Biden, reflecting a high appreciation for Tinubu’s leadership.
Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Media and Publicity, shared this revelation in a statement after Ambassador Molly Phee’s visit.
The U.S. Envoy stated, “We value your efforts in fostering a conducive environment for this meeting. President Joe Biden has expressed interest in meeting you during the UNGA, and you are the only African leader he has extended such an invitation to. It underscores his deep respect for your leadership.”
