Yoruba Group Confident Tinubu's Tenure Will Benefit Nigerians

As the May 29 inauguration of the Presient-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu draws near, a group, the Odua Council Forum, OCF, has expressed strong confidence that the incoming presidency would bring immense benefits to all Nigerians.
The forum also urged citizens to offer prayers for the success of the swearing-in ceremony.
OCF's leader, Baba Oodua Otunba Samson Somoye, and Prof. John Abiona emphasized the importance of collective prayer and support for the President-elect.
They stated, "We are urging all Nigerians to pray for the success of the May 29th swearing-in ceremony of the President-elect."
Highlighting the forum's history and influence, the leaders revealed that the OCF was registered by the Federal Government in 2019 and currently has a presence in 10 states across the nation.
Prof. Abiona, speaking with The Nation, affirmed that OCF members are closely associated with Afenifere, indicating that they wholeheartedly supported Tinubu throughout his campaign and subsequent election as the President-elect.
He also noted that Asiwaju Tinubu acknowledges the support received from the OCF.
Regarding the differing opinions within Afenifere, particularly those expressed by Chief Olabode George and Pa Ayo Adebanjo, Prof. Abiona stated that their stance on Tinubu is unfortunate.
He clarified that while OCF aligns with Afenifere, Pa Adebanjo's views do not represent the collective position of Afenifere. Prof. Abiona, as an Afenifere member, asserted that Baba Fasoranti remains the authentic leader of Afenifere.
