Oyo Police Recovers Weapons At Sacked Transport Leader Home

The Oyo State Police Command recently carried out a raid on the home of the former Chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System, Mukaila Lamidi, popularly known as Auxiliary.

The police reportedly discovered weapons during the operation.

The raid occurred after Governor Seyi Makinde ended the tenure of the PMS committee shortly after his swearing-in for a second term.

In his official statement, Makinde dissolved the committee immediately, and the announcement came after Auxiliary and his supporters were seen celebrating at the venue.

According to reports, some of Auxiliary's men were arrested during the police raid, but he managed to escape.

Akin Akinwale, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) executive committee in the state, tweeted this information, along with footage of the weapons and ammunition that were found.

It appears that the relationship between Makinde and Auxiliary is no longer on good terms.

It should be noted that the Oyo state government appointed Auxiliary as the chairman of the PMS disciplinary committee in February 2020.
