KWASU Promotes 8 To Professorial Cadre

Promotion of eight academic staff members of the Kwara State University, KWASU, have been approved by the governing council of the institution to professorial cadre.
The Acting Director, University Relations, Dr Saeedat Aliyu, in a statement on Thursday said two among the staff attained full professorship while the other six were promoted to associate professorship.
Dr Aliyu said the promotion was ratified during the 65th regular meeting of the university’s Governing Council which held on May 16 and May 17.
He named the newly promoted Professors as Prof. Imoloame O. Emmanuel with specialisation in Weed Science and Prof. Ngozi Bibiana Nwabufo who specializes in Commerce and Cooperative Studies.
The Associate Professors are Dr Saeedat Aliyu with specialisation in African Literature, Dr Reuben Kehinde Akano specialist in African Literature; and Dr Olayinka Jelili Yusuf with specialisation in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology.
The others are Dr Adeniyi Ganiyu Adeogun, specialist in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering Structures, Dr Samson Olalekan Odeyemi, specialist in Structural Engineering; and late Dr Isa Yakub Ajeigbe who specialised in Human Kinetics.
