Barcelona Are La Liga Champions
Barcelona claimed their first league championship since 2019 with an impressive victory over their local rivals in the Catalan derby.
Alejandro Balde and Robert Lewandowski were in devastating form as Barcelona secured a thoroughly deserved Liga title. The Blaugrana had a variety of attacking options that worked seamlessly together, resulting in a 4-2 victory over their local rivals.
Balde played a key role in Barcelona's first goal, racing down the wing before setting up Lewandowski, who scored his 20th league goal of the season. Balde then scored the second goal by coolly putting away Pedri's chip to the far post.
Lewandowski added a third goal, turning in a cross from Raphinha. Even though Jules Kounde made it 4-0 for Barcelona, Espanyol put up a fight in the second half and scored two late goals.
Barcelona relied on a series of tightly-contested matches and stalwart defensive displays to secure La Liga. However, in this match, they played scintillating and straightforward football for extended periods.
