BREAKING: Buhari to Resolve Naira Swap Crisis in Seven Days
Following the nationwide complaints associated with accessing new naira notes, President Muhammadu on Friday assured of resolving the challenges within seven days.
The President gave the assurance when he hosted governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, under the aegis of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, PGF, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, disclosed that the purpose of the meeting was to request continued use of the old naira notes alongside the new N1000, N500 and N200 to mitigate the hardship Nigerians are currently experiencing.
He said the president after listening to them had promised to look into the situation.
Governors present in the meeting are that of Ebonyi, Ogun, Imo, Zamfara, Kebbi, Yobe, Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, and Niger states.
