The youth leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southeast Olisaemeka Onyeka has given an Abuja resident, Okocha Ifeanyichukwu, a car for his honesty.
Ifeanyichukwu returned a phone belonging to Oscar Obi, senior special assistant to Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege.
Onyeka saw Obi’s post on social media and called for Ifeanyichukwu’s identity.
The special assistant said he left the phone on the trunk of his car while rushing to a meeting on August 30.
Onyeka called Ifeanyichukwu to applaud him and later gave him a new Toyota Camry.
He said: “We need more young people to emulate such worthy gesture. This is an uncommon, patriotic, and exemplary act from an unemployed youth who could have sold the phone…
“More of his kind should be celebrated and rewarded to extol the spirit of honesty.”
Obi applauded the APC stalwart for the reward
He said: “The decision to offer him a new car to start his dream work would encourage others to take integrity and honesty as their watchword.”
Ifeanyichukwu thanked Onyeka for the gesture. He vowed to encourage others to live an honest life and preach the testimony of integrity.
The youth thanked Obi for telling his story and taking him as a brother.
