The Union featured on the trends today as Nigerians lambasted it for underdeveloping the nation's education sector through its incessant and unsubstantiated strike actions.

Many queried ASUU over the huge funds the government has been sinking into the university systems with no corresponding developmental-driven researches and innovations that will benefit the wider society.

They said that despite the continued demands for funding, university lecturers in Nigeria have been largely unproductive, with little or no breakthrough researches to proffer solutions to the universe of problems confronting their immediate environment.

The former Abia State Governor took the social media space by storm after making known his intention to gun for the highest office in the land.

Orji Uzor Kalu was widely reported on Monday as saying he would not hesitate to serve Nigeria if given the opportunity.

While many supported his bid, others were of the opinion that Kalu should first come clean on the allegations of corruption dangling around him before mulling the idea of leading a country that is battling with monstrous corruption.
