Nigeria is set to receive 10 million doses of Coronavirus vaccines in March, the federal government announced yesterday.
Health Minister Osagie Ehanire who disclosed this in a statement said the vaccines would add to the 100,000 Pfizer vaccines the country is expecting.
The Health Minister, however, did not specify if the vaccine would be financed by the African Union or as part of COVAX, which links the World Health Organisation (WHO) with private partners to equitable distribution.
As of January 14, 2021, Nigeria’s recorded COVID-19 cases increased to 105,478 with 1,405 deaths.
