I’m retiring to my Farm by 2023 –Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has given Nigerian a glimpse of what his life after power would look like. Answering questions from Arise Television team, led by Prince Nduka Obaigbena, Buhari revealed that he would be retiring to his farm after completing his term.
Speaking further during the interview, which was monitored by AbujaCityJournal, Buhari expressed satisfaction that his administration has fulfilled its electoral promises, especially in the area of infrastructural development. He cited the achievement of the Buhari administration in rail construction, road and other areas.
However, rather than rating the administration, the President said he reserved that for Nigerians, who are in the best position to know where the country was before and now that he’s piloting the affairs of the nation.
Speaking on security challenges facing the country, President Buhari took a swipe at the elites, especially the governors, who are according to him are playing to the gallery and politicizing critical issues to score cheap political goals.
“If we scatter the country and make it ungovernable, how can we attract investors?” the president stated.
