Akudona Chukwu, the leader of the Okigwe senatorial zone, expressed the collective frustration, stating, “We can’t wait any longer for the release of the results. We have come here to tell the world that we are not happy with hunger, the insecurity, and everything in Imo state. Let her release the result. We need peace in Imo state, she should release the result and let peace reign.”

Chukwu further called on Prof Agu to exhibit compassion, likening the situation to a mother witnessing her family suffer. The women stressed the urgency of the situation, noting that the delay in releasing the results had negatively impacted the lives of Imo residents.

Dorathy Ogazi echoed the sentiments, conveying the plea of Imo women for fairness and equity.
