This achievement marks a historic high for an African song on the prestigious chart, according to statistics released on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, covering plays from November 1, 2022, to October 31, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Omah Lay&#8217;s &#8220;soso&#8221; claimed the top spot as the most streamed song in Nigeria on Apple Music for the year, demonstrating the continued dominance of Nigerian artists on the global music scene.<\/p>\n<p>The global chart&#8217;s top three songs were led by country music star Morgan Wallen&#8217;s &#8220;Last Night,&#8221; followed by Miley Cyrus&#8217;s &#8220;Flowers&#8221; in second place and SZA&#8217;s &#8220;Kill Bill&#8221; in third place.<\/p>\n<p>Noteworthy entries in the top 10 included Drake and 21 Savage&#8217;s &#8220;Rich Flex,&#8221; SZA&#8217;s &#8220;Snooze,&#8221; Taylor Swift&#8217;s &#8220;Anti-Hero,&#8221; Yoasobi&#8217;s &#8220;Idol,&#8221; Chris Brown&#8217;s &#8220;Under the Influence,&#8221; Metro Booming, The Weeknd, and 21 Savage&#8217;s &#8220;Creepin&#8217;,&#8221; and Official Hige Dandism&#8217;s &#8220;Subtitle.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Spin Bout U&#8221; by Drake and 21 Savage, a collaborative track from their album &#8220;Her Loss,&#8221; secured the 11th spot, just above Rema&#8217;s &#8220;Calm Down.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Apple Music acknowledged the success of &#8220;Calm Down&#8221; as a testament to the global embrace of Afrobeats, with all the top 10 most streamed songs by Ghanaians in the past 12 months being Nigerian hits.
