It has been revealed that President Bola Tinubu will embark on a journey from Abuja to Dubai on Wednesday to attend the COP28 Climate Summit. This pivotal event, also known as the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference, will revolve around the theme &#8220;Unite, Act, and Deliver.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>President Tinubu is slated to play a central role at the World Leaders&#8217; Summit scheduled for December 1 and 2, 2023. During this summit, he will deliver a national statement, shedding light on Nigeria\u2019s positions regarding crucial issues such as renewable energy and climate financing. Acknowledging the severe impact of climate change on Nigeria, the President will fervently advocate for increased financial and technical support for developing nations, while holding developed countries accountable for their commitment to provide $100 billion annually.<\/p>\n<p>In alignment with Nigeria\u2019s commitment to sustainable and responsible practices, President Tinubu&#8217;s message will emphasize the need for businesses and institutions to adopt environmentally conscious approaches. The Nigerian delegation accompanying the President aims to forge new partnerships and explore initiatives related to Nigeria&#8217;s Energy Transition, Article 6 Projects, Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs), Technology Transfer, Capacity Building, and Methane Mitigation.<\/p>\n<p>Adding to the significance of the delegation, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President (Media &amp; Publicity), expressed confidence in President Tinubu&#8217;s advocacy and the delegation&#8217;s active participation in key sideline events.
