From insecurity to economic hardship, the challenges before us are real, but so too is our shared strength. Nigeria works best when we stand together, not divided by faith or ethnicity, but united by a common purpose and a shared future,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>The association emphasised that the values embodied in Ramadan and Eid, including kindness, sacrifice, and compassion, offer a pathway to national healing and progress. It urged citizens to reject division and embrace dialogue as a means of fostering peace and understanding.<\/p>\n<p>CAN also joined Muslims in prayers for the country, seeking lasting peace, improved security, and economic recovery, while calling for leadership guided by wisdom and compassion.<\/p>\n<p>The Christian body further encouraged Nigerians to sustain the virtues cultivated during Ramadan, particularly in caring for the poor, protecting the vulnerable, and promoting justice in society.<\/p>\n<p>Describing the celebration as more than a religious observance, CAN urged citizens to see it as a moment for reflection and renewal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet this Eid be more than a celebration; let it be a reset for our national conscience,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>The association concluded by wishing Muslims a joyful celebration and prayed for peace, good health, and unity across the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Samson Adeyanju The Christian Association of Nigeria has called for national unity and collective action in addressing the country\u2019s challenges, urging Nigerians to see the Eid al-Fitr celebration as a reminder that the nation is stronger together.
