{"id":83163,"date":"2026-03-13T06:23:42","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T06:23:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=83163"},"modified":"2026-03-13T06:23:42","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T06:23:42","slug":"fct-varsity-to-begin-operations-soon-wike-assures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2026\/03\/13\/fct-varsity-to-begin-operations-soon-wike-assures\/","title":{"rendered":"FCT Varsity to Begin Operations Soon, Wike Assures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Patrick Idowu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has assured residents that the FCT University of Science and Technology, Abaji (FUSTA), will begin operations under the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.<\/p>\n<p>Wike gave the assurance in Abaji during a visit to appreciate residents for supporting the President\u2019s candidates in the February 21 FCT Area Council elections.<\/p>\n<p>He said the FCT Administration has already commenced the development of infrastructure and other critical facilities required for the university\u2019s take-off.<\/p>\n<p>The minister urged residents to remain patient, emphasizing that President Tinubu is committed to ensuring the university becomes a reality during his tenure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom our conversations, we see how important this university is not only to the people of Abaji but to all residents of the FCT. It will create jobs and open up the Abaji community to further development.
