The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), recorded early arrival of election materials and ad hoc staff in the Abuja city centre on Saturday for the Area Council polls.<\/p>\n

As of 8:15 a.m., polling units visited within Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) were ready for the exercise, with security personnel deployed.<\/p>\n

At Polling Unit 16, Area 8, the Presiding Officer, Emmanuel Miracle, said officials arrived at 7:30 a.m. and were set for commencement.<\/p>\n

Similarly, officers at Units 15, 072 and 073 confirmed that materials were ready ahead of the 8:00 a.m. start time.<\/p>\n

Security operatives, including police and personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), were on ground.<\/p>\n

At Unit 073, APC agent Salihu Abubakar expressed confidence in a peaceful exercise, citing the early deployment of officials and security.<\/p>\n
