Many residents remain missing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Katsina State witnessed a similar outbreak of violence in Doma, Faskari Local Council, where over 25 people, including women and children, were killed.<\/p>\n<p>Police confirmed 13 deaths, but local authorities reported higher numbers, with residents still searching nearby bushes for missing victims.<\/p>\n<p>The Senate has urged urgent military and police reinforcement in Katsina, particularly the Funtua Zone, following a motion by Senator Dandutse Mohammed.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution directs the Inspector-General of Police to equip the new police squadron with Armoured Personnel Carriers, urges the establishment of a military barracks in Malumfashi, and calls for immediate humanitarian support.<\/p>\n<p>Former Senate President and PDP national leader, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, described the Kwara killings as a national emergency and called on President Bola Tinubu to deploy troops and coordinate an inter-agency response.<\/p>\n<p>Saraki stressed that insurgents fleeing other North Central states must not be allowed to find refuge in Kwara.<\/p>\n<p>The Kwara PDP criticised the state government\u2019s response, describing official statements as cosmetic and lacking concrete support for victims.
