The cause of the collapse had yet to be independently confirmed as of the time of filing this report.<\/p>\n<p>The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) had also not issued an official statement on the development.<br \/>\nAccording to reports, all 23 power generation plants connected to the grid lost output during the incident, resulting in zero power allocation to the 11 electricity distribution companies nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>The latest collapse adds to Nigeria\u2019s persistent power challenges and follows a similar nationwide outage recorded on December 29, 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nigeria\u2019s national power grid has suffered another collapse, the second in two days, throwing major parts of the country into darkness and disrupting electricity supply to homes and businesses.
