{"id":82089,"date":"2026-01-25T04:38:31","date_gmt":"2026-01-25T04:38:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=82089"},"modified":"2026-01-25T04:38:31","modified_gmt":"2026-01-25T04:38:31","slug":"shettima-returns-to-abuja-after-guinea-switzerland-engagements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2026\/01\/25\/shettima-returns-to-abuja-after-guinea-switzerland-engagements\/","title":{"rendered":"Shettima Returns to Abuja After Guinea, Switzerland Engagements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Onyeanya Ebere Immaculata<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after a week-long diplomatic and economic mission to Guinea-Conakry and Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>Shettima arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Saturday after representing President Bola Tinubu at the inauguration of Guinea\u2019s President, Mamadi Doumbouya.<\/p>\n<p>According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Vice President also led Nigeria\u2019s delegation to the 56th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, where he engaged global leaders on Nigeria\u2019s economic priorities under the Renewed Hope agenda.<\/p>\n<p>A key highlight of the trip was the commissioning of Nigeria House, the country\u2019s first sovereign pavilion on the Davos Promenade, designed to attract investment in solid minerals, agriculture and the digital economy.<\/p>\n<p>Shettima also participated in discussions on the Accra Reset Initiative alongside former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Finance Minister Wale Edun, advocating African industrialisation driven by domestic capital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Onyeanya Ebere Immaculata Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after a week-long diplomatic and economic mission to Guinea-Conakry and Switzerland.
