The United States Embassy in Abuja has reopened its newly redesigned American Centre at the Embassy Chancery, aimed at strengthening diplomatic and people-to-people ties between Nigeria and the United States.
\nIn a statement on Wednesday, the Embassy said the centre, alongside other American Spaces, is designed to provide Nigerians with access to information about the U.S., English language learning, educational advising and professional skills development.
\nU.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, said the American Centre reflects American values and excellence, noting that American Spaces have become trusted hubs for young people to learn, connect and innovate.
\nHe added that through educational advising, entrepreneurship training and digital literacy programmes, the centres equip Nigerians with tools needed to thrive in a changing global economy.
\nCountry Public Diplomacy Counselor, Lee McManis, said the Abuja centre is part of a network of 29 American Spaces nationwide, serving as hubs for cultural exchange and lifelong learning to further strengthen Nigeria-U.S. relations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
