Government officials had faulted the report, with the Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, Taiwo Oyedele, saying the firm misunderstood the intent of the reforms.<br \/>\nAt the meeting, the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Dr Zacch Adedeji, clarified the contentious provisions. KPMG acknowledged that its earlier commentary was misconstrued and expressed regret, stressing that its aim was to seek clarity and contribute constructively to the reform process.<br \/>\nBoth sides agreed on the need for continued engagement to address emerging issues and ensure effective implementation.
