Alia Registers as APC Member No. 1 in Benue, Urges Support for Tinubu, Consolidation<\/p>\n
Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has registered as the number one member of the All Progressives Congress in the state following the commencement of the party\u2019s nationwide electronic registration and revalidation exercise.<\/p>\n
The exercise was flagged off in Ihugh, Mbadede Ward of Vandeikya Local Government Area, the governor\u2019s hometown.<\/p>\n
Addressing party members after receiving his registration printout from the APC Acting State Chairman, Dr. Benjamin Omale, Governor Alia urged party faithful to visit their ward headquarters to revalidate their membership, while encouraging new members to register.<\/p>\n
He said the support given to him and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2023 elections reflected Benue\u2019s commitment to the APC, adding that a vote for him and the President remained a vote for consolidation of ongoing reforms and development.<\/p>\n
Governor Alia commended President Tinubu and the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for initiating the e-registration exercise, noting that areas with strong participation would receive priority attention from his administration. He also directed local government chairmen and party leaders to support registration agents and mobilise residents for the exercise.<\/p>\n
Dr. Omale praised the President and party leadership for the initiative and thanked Governor Alia for supporting the exercise in Benue, urging members to fully embrace the registration process.<\/p>\n
The State Coordinator of the exercise and APC State Organising Secretary, Hon. James Ornguga, said the process requires only a voter\u2019s card and National Identity Card, adding that trained personnel had been deployed across all wards and local government areas.<\/p>\n
The APC e-registration is expected to run across the 23 local government areas of Benue State as the party seeks to strengthen its internal structure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
