{"id":81348,"date":"2026-01-09T08:18:45","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T08:18:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=81348"},"modified":"2026-01-09T08:18:45","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T08:18:45","slug":"fmc-explains-how-murdered-abuja-nurses-body-was-found","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2026\/01\/09\/fmc-explains-how-murdered-abuja-nurses-body-was-found\/","title":{"rendered":"FMC Explains How Murdered Abuja Nurse\u2019s Body Was Found"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Patrick Idowu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jabi, Abuja, Prof. Saad Ahmed, has disclosed that the body of a nurse, Chinemerem Chuwumeziem, who was recently murdered, was found by the police around Bolingo Hotel Junction in the Central Business District, Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed said the corpse was recovered with her bag and Bible, but without her mobile phone.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to journalists on Thursday, the CMD said Chuwumeziem, who joined the FMC in 2025, was dedicated and compassionate, earning the hospital\u2019s \u201cBest Nurse of the Year 2025\u201d award.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the nurse completed her afternoon shift and left the hospital at 6:13 p.m., as captured on CCTV footage. Concern arose on Sunday when she failed to return home, prompting a search by hospital staff and security agencies.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the police later discovered her body and deposited it in a mortuary, after which she was buried by her family in Imo State.
