The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that there is no truth in the claim of a crisis within the party following the recent resignation of its National Chairman and National Secretary. The party asserted its unity, resilience, and commitment towards its progress as it moves forward.<\/p>\n
In a press release, the APC emphasized that the resignations of the National Chairman and National Secretary do not indicate a crisis but rather showcase the party’s institutional maturity and the quality of its leadership. The swift and seamless succession to acting capacities for both offices is a testament to the strength of its constitutional processes.<\/p>\n
Addressing media reports that suggested discord within the National Working Committee (NWC) or between the NWC and other critical sections of the party’s leadership regarding the potential successors to the National Chairman’s office, the APC clarified that such reports are purely speculative. The party maintained that all sections of its leadership are united in the pursuit of a more progressive future.<\/p>\n
The statement further highlighted that while individual party leaders and members are entitled to express their personal opinions, these views do not represent the official position of the NWC or the party as a whole. The APC assured that any official communications on the subject of succession to vacant offices within the NWC would be conveyed through the party’s official channels.<\/p>\n
