{"id":80514,"date":"2025-12-18T16:50:24","date_gmt":"2025-12-18T16:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=80514"},"modified":"2025-12-18T16:50:24","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T16:50:24","slug":"xmas-nscdc-deploys-4000-personnel-in-fct","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/12\/18\/xmas-nscdc-deploys-4000-personnel-in-fct\/","title":{"rendered":"Xmas: NSCDC Deploys 4,000 Personnel in FCT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Patrick Idowu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Command, has deployed 4,000 personnel to ensure security during the Christmas celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, the Command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, Monica Ojobi, said the FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, ordered the deployment across all parts of the territory before, during and after the Yuletide.<\/p>\n<p>Odumosu said the move was aimed at protecting lives and property, as well as safeguarding Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI).<\/p>\n<p>He added that undercover operatives had been deployed for surveillance and covert operations to forestall security breaches.<\/p>\n<p>The deployment includes specialised units such as the Arms Squad, Crack Squad, CNAI Unit, CBRNE Unit, Female Strike Force, Counter-Terrorism Unit and Agro Rangers.<\/p>\n<p>The commandant directed area commanders and divisional officers to ensure effective security coverage, urging personnel to remain professional and work in synergy with other security agencies.<\/p>\n<p>He assured residents of a safe and peaceful Christmas, warning criminals and vandals to stay away from critical national assets, and wished FCT residents a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Patrick Idowu The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Command, has deployed 4,000 personnel to ensure security during the Christmas celebrations.
