{"id":80293,"date":"2025-12-15T11:45:35","date_gmt":"2025-12-15T11:45:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=80293"},"modified":"2025-12-15T11:45:35","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T11:45:35","slug":"dangote-alleges-nmdpra-ceo-misused-funds-seeks-ccb-probe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/12\/15\/dangote-alleges-nmdpra-ceo-misused-funds-seeks-ccb-probe\/","title":{"rendered":"Dangote Alleges NMDPRA CEO Misused Funds, Seeks CCB Probe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Patrick Idowu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aliko Dangote, Founder and CEO of the Dangote Group, has accused Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), of corruption, claiming he spent $5 million on secondary education for his children in Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>Dangote made the allegation on Sunday during a media briefing at the Dangote Refinery in Lekki, describing the expenditure as inconsistent with a public servant\u2019s income and a threat to public trust.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), or relevant authorities to investigate Ahmed\u2019s income and financial conduct before any decision on his tenure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy children went to secondary school in Nigeria. They did not go abroad. How does a government official afford $5 million for four children over six years?
