In the parallel market, the dollar sold for \u20a61,490 and bought for \u20a61,475.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts say the reduced spread, now around \u20a635-\u20a640, signals improved market efficiency and fewer arbitrage opportunities, driven by ongoing CBN monetary reforms.<\/p>\n<p>Improved liquidity in the official window is linked to rising foreign inflows, which have surpassed $20 billion year-to-date, alongside recent restructuring of the Bureau de Change segment.<\/p>\n<p>Other parallel market rates stood at \u20a61,970 per Pound Sterling and \u20a61,725 per Euro.<\/p>\n<p>Nigeria\u2019s external reserves, estimated at $45.3 billion, continue to boost market confidence.<\/p>\n<p>Although holiday-season forex demand is expected to rise, analysts say current liquidity levels and tighter regulation are helping stabilize the Naira.<\/p>\n<p>Investors are now watching upcoming US Federal Reserve decisions, which could ease global dollar pressures and support emerging-market currencies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Sarah Sam Adda The Naira on Thursday maintained steady trading across major forex windows, with the gap between the official and parallel markets narrowing to one of its smallest levels in months.
