{"id":79888,"date":"2025-12-09T13:00:46","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T13:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=79888"},"modified":"2025-12-09T13:00:46","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T13:00:46","slug":"sanwo-olu-urges-investors-to-tap-lagos-growing-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/12\/09\/sanwo-olu-urges-investors-to-tap-lagos-growing-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Sanwo-Olu Urges Investors to Tap Lagos\u2019 Growing Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Onilede Titi Faith<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has urged local and international investors to seize the state\u2019s expanding economic opportunities, citing reforms that have improved the ease of doing business.<\/p>\n<p>He made the appeal during the inauguration of TY Logistics Park, FZE, a modern 29,000-square-metre warehousing and trade facility developed by TY Holdings in Alaro City, Lekki Free Zone.<\/p>\n<p>The event was confirmed in a statement on the Lagos State Government\u2019s official X account on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Describing the park as a major boost to Nigeria\u2019s supply chain infrastructure, Sanwo-Olu said it strengthens Lagos\u2019 position as the country\u2019s commercial hub.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted Lagos\u2019 top ranking in the latest Subnational Ease of Doing Business report by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), with a score of 85.6 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInaugurating this facility shows investors\u2019 confidence in Lagos,\u201d the governor said, noting that it reinforces Alaro City\u2019s emergence as a leading industrial hub in sub-Saharan Africa and aligns with Lagos\u2019 strategy to modernise logistics and attract global investment.<\/p>\n<p>Sanwo-Olu also spoke on plans to ease traffic and boost trade efficiency along the Lekki corridor, including a dedicated route connecting Lekki Port, Dangote Refinery, and Alaro City, as well as the development of West Africa\u2019s largest food logistics hub.<\/p>\n<p>Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, who co-inaugurated the facility, commended the project and pledged to strengthen economic collaboration, particularly in moving Taraba\u2019s agricultural produce to Lagos\u2019 processing centres and markets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Onilede Titi Faith Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has urged local and international investors to seize the state\u2019s expanding economic opportunities, citing reforms that have improved the ease of doing business.
