Fr. Hyacinth Alia as governor in 2023 as \u201ca divine blessing\u201d to the state, citing far-reaching reforms across agriculture, infrastructure, education, healthcare and security.<\/p>\n<p>Kula said Governor Alia has restored public trust through accelerated development programmes, especially in agriculture where the administration has distributed tractors, irrigation systems and modern farm implements to boost food production and rural livelihoods.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that massive reconstruction of primary schools and key road projects, including the Igumale-Apa-Agila, Awajir-Mbaiase-Oju, Mbawuar-Mbause-Anhyula, Gbem-Hegha-Use-Ushongo and Vandeikya-Adikpo roads have improved connectivity and economic activity.<\/p>\n<p>In Makurdi, the CPS said the government has embarked on large-scale upgrades such as road rehabilitation, expanded drainage, and installation of streetlights, giving the state capital a cleaner and more secure environment.<\/p>\n<p>Healthcare facilities, including hospitals and primary health centres, have also been upgraded, while rural electrification projects are extending solar power to remote communities.<\/p>\n<p>Kula added that the administration\u2019s investment in peacebuilding, community policing, youth empowerment, scholarships and ICT training, including the training of thousands in digital skills and agricultural mechanisation is reshaping opportunities for young people.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted ongoing industrial projects such as juice, nail, water and bread factories, which he said are already providing jobs and will enhance the state\u2019s internally generated revenue.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Alia\u2019s emphasis on transparency, accountability and civil service reform has strengthened governance, further increasing public confidence.<\/p>\n<p>Kula maintained that the governor\u2019s achievements so far are \u201conly a tip of the iceberg,\u201d expressing optimism that the next six years will consolidate the gains recorded.<\/p>\n<p>He urged residents to continue supporting and praying for the administration, saying Benue people \u201cmade no mistake electing a God-given leader.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Samson Adeyanju Chief Press Secretary to the Benue State Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula, has described the emergence of Rev.
