{"id":79566,"date":"2025-12-02T10:19:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T10:19:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=79566"},"modified":"2025-12-02T10:19:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T10:19:08","slug":"ex-manager-confirms-2babas-london-arrest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/12\/02\/ex-manager-confirms-2babas-london-arrest\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-Manager Confirms 2Baba\u2019s London Arrest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Onyeanya Ebere Immaculata<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Former manager, Kaka Igbokwe, has confirmed that the viral video showing Nigerian music icon Innocent \u201c2Baba\u201d Idibia being arrested in London is genuine.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, Igbokwe said the incident involved 2Baba and his pregnant wife, Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>Igbokwe, who travelled with the couple, said the clash occurred shortly after their arrival in the UK for a concert tour.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Natasha became upset after feeling abandoned at the airport when fans pulled 2Baba into a nearby shop.<\/p>\n<p>The situation escalated into a heated argument, prompting airport police to intervene and handcuff the singer.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest reportedly happened on October 2, 2025, the same day 2Baba missed a scheduled show, which he had blamed on a medical emergency.<\/p>\n<p>The controversy resurfaced on December 1 after blogger Tosin Silverdam shared clips allegedly showing officers questioning and escorting the musician at London\u2019s Gatwick Airport, along with a video of the couple arguing.<\/p>\n<p>Screenshots from the footage also show police interacting with 2Baba moments before he was led away.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Onyeanya Ebere Immaculata Former manager, Kaka Igbokwe, has confirmed that the viral video showing Nigerian music icon Innocent \u201c2Baba\u201d Idibia being arrested in London is genuine.
