{"id":79225,"date":"2025-11-23T07:09:47","date_gmt":"2025-11-23T07:09:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=79225"},"modified":"2025-11-23T07:09:47","modified_gmt":"2025-11-23T07:09:47","slug":"essay-competition-finalists-arrive-abuja-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/11\/23\/essay-competition-finalists-arrive-abuja-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Essay Competition: Finalists Arrive Abuja Today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Oso Abidemi\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Finalists of the National Essay Competition powered by Abuja City Journal (ACJ), and sponsored by Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), are arriving in the Federal Capital Territory today to compete for 10 million ahead of the grand finale scheduled for Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The competition, organised to promote intellectual excellence, civic awareness and youth engagement in national development, attracted submissions from students and young writers across the country.<\/p>\n<p>After a rigorous screening process by a panel of editors, academics, and communication experts, the top finalists were selected for the final stage.<\/p>\n<p>The finalists are expected to undergo a verification and orientation session later today.<\/p>\n<p>According to the organisers, the competition was designed to empower young Nigerians with a platform to express fresh ideas on governance, leadership and national rebirth.<\/p>\n<p>Abuja City Journal said the initiative reflects its commitment to nurturing the next generation of thinkers and writers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to welcome these brilliant young Nigerians to Abuja.
