Speaking at the Ekiti State Innovation Summit themed “Innovate Ekiti: Kick-starting Ekiti State Innovation Pathway to Prosperity,” Governor Oyebanji, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Habibat Adubiaro, described the summit as a pivotal platform for a groundbreaking initiative.<\/p>\n
He pledged support for the initiative, emphasizing his government’s readiness to leverage technology to generate employment opportunities for the youth. The governor sees technology as a key driver for economic prosperity and development in the state.<\/p>\n
During the summit, Edward Israel-Ayide, the founder of Carpe Diem Solutions, underscored the importance of branding in innovation. He highlighted that effective branding is crucial for creating a unique identity that allows innovations to connect with their target audience and stand out in the marketplace.<\/p>\n
William Tsuma, the Head of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Lagos, emphasized the critical role of ensuring that innovation addresses the problems associated with multidimensional poverty in Nigeria. He stressed the need for innovation to solve real problems affecting everyday Nigerians, including job creation and improving education access.<\/p>\n
