{"id":78263,"date":"2025-11-06T14:03:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T14:03:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=78263"},"modified":"2025-11-06T14:03:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T14:03:07","slug":"aedc-begins-second-phase-of-load-management-exercise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/11\/06\/aedc-begins-second-phase-of-load-management-exercise\/","title":{"rendered":"AEDC Begins Second Phase of Load Management Exercise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Omoniyi David<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), has commenced the second phase of its load management exercise across its franchise areas.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Thursday, AEDC said the exercise became necessary due to ongoing Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), road construction along the 132kV Gwagwalada-Kukwaba-Apo Line II.<\/p>\n<p>The exercise, which runs from Wednesday to Sunday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., will cause temporary power interruptions in parts of Apo, Lokogoma, Guzape, Asokoro, Wuye, Utako, Jabi, Idu Industrial Area, Karu, Nyanya, Mararaba, Jikwoyi, and Ado.<\/p>\n<p>Customers in Keffi, Nasarawa Toto, Nasarawa Eggon, Akwanga, and nearby areas may also be affected.<\/p>\n<p>AEDC apologized for the inconvenience, noting that the measure supports FCDA\u2019s road expansion and ensures long-term network stability.<\/p>\n<p>The company assured that its technical teams are on standby for quick power restoration each day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Omoniyi David &nbsp; The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), has commenced the second phase of its load management exercise across its franchise areas.
