U.S. President Donald Trump has again accused Nigeria of permitting mass killings of Christians, describing the situation as an \u201cexistential threat\u201d to Christianity.<\/p>\n
In a video posted on X, Trump alleged that \u201cthousands and thousands\u201d of Christians were being killed by \u201cradical Islamists,\u201d declaring Nigeria a \u201ccountry of particular concern\u201d under U.S. law.<\/p>\n
He urged Congress to investigate the killings, saying, \u201cAmerica cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening.\u201d<\/p>\n
This is Trump\u2019s second time accusing Nigeria of allowing \u201cChristian genocide,\u201d after earlier threatening military intervention.<\/p>\n
The Federal Government dismissed the claim, insisting Nigeria upholds religious freedom.<\/p>\n
