L. Akintola gave the ruling on Monday, vacating an earlier order of a Federal High Court in Abuja that had restrained the PDP from proceeding with the exercise.<\/p>\n<p>The Abuja court had, on October 31, halted preparations for the convention following a suit by three PDP members, Austin Nwachukwu, Amah Nnanna, and Turnah George, who alleged breaches of the party\u2019s constitution and due process.<\/p>\n<p>With the latest decision, the Oyo court has effectively cleared the way for the convention to hold as scheduled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Omoniyi David &nbsp; An Oyo State High Court has cleared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and its acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, to hold the party\u2019s national convention on November 15-16, 2025, in Ibadan.
