Peter Audu, Executive Secretary\/CEO of Caritas Nigeria, led a delegation to the Dicastery for Integral Human Development in Rome, home to Caritas Internationalis, to explore strengthened global collaborations.<\/p>\n<p>Accompanied by Sr. Funmi Ojo, Secretary to the Secretary General of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, and Margaret Jane Amodu, Executive Assistant, Fr. Audu met with Alistair Dutton, Secretary General of Caritas Internationalis, to discuss advocacy, knowledge sharing, and showcasing Caritas Nigeria\u2019s achievements in food security and livelihoods.<\/p>\n<p>Caritas Nigeria was recognized as the best-performing organization in North East Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>The team also highlighted the organization\u2019s protection and safeguarding measures. They later met with John Coughlin, Caritas Humanitarian Lead, who shared insights into the confederation\u2019s global humanitarian initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>The visit coincided with Fr. Audu\u2019s participation in the World Meeting of Popular Movements (22-26 October 2025) and the Pilgrimage for the Jubilee of Hope at the Vatican, promoting reflection, solidarity, and renewed international partnerships.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Samson Adeyanju &nbsp; Last week, Fr.
