{"id":77626,"date":"2025-10-28T05:33:28","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T05:33:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=77626"},"modified":"2025-10-28T05:33:28","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T05:33:28","slug":"fcta-religious-leaders-partner-to-boost-child-immunization-in-abuja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/10\/28\/fcta-religious-leaders-partner-to-boost-child-immunization-in-abuja\/","title":{"rendered":"FCTA, Religious Leaders Partner to Boost Child Immunization in Abuja"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Samuel Adeola<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has strengthened its child immunization campaign by partnering with religious and community leaders to ensure every child is protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mrs. Bola Ajao, media aide to the Mandate Secretary of Health Services and Environment, Dr. Adedolapo Fasawe, the campaign involves advocacy visits and field operations across all FCT communities.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Fasawe emphasized that vaccination is a legal right under the <em>Child Rights Act 2003<\/em>, urging parents to ignore misinformation and ensure their children are immunized. She reaffirmed that all vaccines in the FCT are <em>\u201cfree, safe, and effective.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>She disclosed that Minister Nyesom Wike has approved free enrollment into the FCT Health Insurance Scheme (FHIS) for fully vaccinated children in public schools.<\/p>\n<p>To foster interfaith support, advocacy visits have been held in mosques and churches across Abuja, while 132 vaccination teams have been deployed for a three-day mop-up exercise in partnership with NPHCDA, UNICEF, and WHO.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Samuel Adeola The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has strengthened its child immunization campaign by partnering with religious and community leaders to ensure every child is protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.
