The Social Democratic Party (SDP), has expelled its former National Chairman, Shehu Gabam, and several top officials over alleged misconduct, financial misappropriation, and abuse of office.<\/p>\n
The decision, announced Thursday in Abuja, followed months of investigation by the party\u2019s Disciplinary Committee and the adoption of a White Paper by the National Working Committee (NWC).<\/p>\n
The expelled officials include Gabam, National Youth Leader Ogbonna Chukwuma Uchechukwu, National Auditor Clarkson Nnadi, and others.<\/p>\n
Rufus Aiyenigba, SDP National Publicity Secretary, said some expelled members were arrested for allegedly breaking into the party\u2019s national secretariat and stealing sensitive documents. They are facing criminal charges.<\/p>\n
Aiyenigba stressed that the action aims to \u201crestore integrity, discipline, and internal order\u201d within the party.<\/p>\n
The expulsion took immediate effect from October 23, 2025, and was unanimously approved by the NWC, reaffirming the SDP\u2019s commitment to transparency and accountability.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
