HXafrica, through its Real Estate Investment Cooperative (REICo), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with the Abuja Original Inhabitants Youth Empowerment Organisation (AOIYEO), to promote economic empowerment and sustainable development among Abuja\u2019s indigenous communities.<\/p>\n
The partnership aims to establish a cooperative society that will drive enterprise growth, financial inclusion, and poverty reduction in line with government development goals.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the MoU signing, Ugo Peters, CEO of HXafrica, said the initiative reflects the company\u2019s \u201cpeople-before-profit\u201d philosophy and long-term commitment to improving livelihoods through social impact projects.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur vision is to build a system that prioritises people, not just profits. This partnership will empower Abuja\u2019s original inhabitants to participate actively in their economic growth,\u201d Peters said.<\/p>\n
HXafrica also runs the Free Bus Initiative, which has served over 19,000 commuters since March, saving residents more than \u20a69.6 million in transportation costs.<\/p>\n
AOIYEO Executive Director, Isaac David, hailed the collaboration as a \u201cdeliverance day\u201d for indigenous communities, announcing plans to establish a microfinance bank to fund small businesses and strengthen community-led development.<\/p>\n
