Senator Ned Nwoko has reacted to a viral video showing his wife, Nollywood star Regina Daniels, in distress during a confrontation, attributing her behaviour to drug and alcohol abuse.<\/p>\n
In a statement on Instagram, Nwoko said Regina\u2019s substance use had strained their marriage and urged her to continue rehabilitation.<\/p>\n
He claimed she recently attacked staff and damaged property at their home while he was away.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe assaulted three staff members and destroyed cars and windows for no reason. She now lives where she can easily access drugs,\u201d he alleged.<\/p>\n
The lawmaker said he had proposed rehabilitation options in Abuja and Jordan but accused some of Regina\u2019s friends of enabling her addiction.<\/p>\n
The actress\u2019s brother, Sammy West, however, accused Nwoko of assaulting his sister, vowing to defend her.<\/p>\n
Regina Daniels and Nwoko married in 2019 and have two children together.<\/p>\n
