{"id":76856,"date":"2025-10-18T04:11:38","date_gmt":"2025-10-18T04:11:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=76856"},"modified":"2025-10-18T04:11:38","modified_gmt":"2025-10-18T04:11:38","slug":"sarah-martins-decries-assault-during-charity-outreach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/10\/18\/sarah-martins-decries-assault-during-charity-outreach\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarah Martins Decries Assault During Charity Outreach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Adenike Lawal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nollywood actress, Sarah Martins, has recounted a distressing experience with officials of the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI), task force, whom she accused of assaulting her and disrupting her charity outreach in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>In a video shared on her Instagram page, Martins said the incident occurred while she was distributing free meals to the homeless, an act of kindness she said she undertakes regularly.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the officers descended on her team without provocation, harassing and intimidating them, before seizing her cooking equipment, food items, and gas cylinders.<\/p>\n<p>Visibly shaken, the actress displayed bruises on her hand, describing the confrontation as \u201cpainful and unwarranted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy heart is heavy,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI was simply cooking free meals for those who have nothing, and I was met with aggression and force. They took everything I was using. My only crime?
